“…dreamy space-jam, mixing up fragments of fusiony riffs with big washes of electronic sound to dramatic and very contemporary effect that borrows from jazz, rock, hip hop and funk without sounding like any of the above.”Jazzwise Magazine

Three-piece band purpleshirt impressed greatly during their Summer Studios residency at Sage Gateshead in August 2018 with their electric live show. Math rock meets upbeat jazz in one of their first public performances as a group.

A Slow Loris is a small nocturnal mammal with a toxic bite. A rare trait among mammals and unique to the lorisidae primates.

Slow Loris bring a unique blend of jazz, metal, hip-hop and electronic music, taking inspiration from artists such as Three Trapped Tigers, Strobes, and Aphex Twin. This Leeds-based band builds up layers of riffs and effects to create a fresh, rocky and forceful sound that both embraces and contests the two-guitar format aiming to continuously push the boundaries of existing genres in an effort to create something fresh and stimulating.
